We are proud to announce the 2023 Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus Foundation Scholarship! As a caucus, we are so excited to lift the power of young students and support them as they embark onto higher education. All of the information regarding the scholarship can be found below. We encourage all students residing in the City of Chicago to apply for this scholarship opportunity.
Our scholarships are renewable for a total of four years and awards are available to freshman students (graduating high school seniors) pursuing a four year degree from an accredited university. The scholarships are $2,500 annually and given to students to help alleviate the cost of tuition, fees, room and board, and books.
In order to be considered for the scholarship awards, an application and essay must be completed and submitted no later than March 31, 2023. Award announcements will be provided to students on May 1, 2023. Awardees will attend our Scholarship Breakfast Reception and Juneteenth Fundraiser Gala.
The Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus was formed to ensure the coordination and collaboration amongst the Black Aldermen as they represent the issues most impactful to their black constituency.
The CABC scholarship committee will determine the selection of scholarships from an objective and non-discriminatory criteria. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.
